about
Lorelei's LOAVES & Treats
Lorelei began baking bread as a spiritual exercise back in 1990. During times of fasting, bread made by her own hand was one of the few foods she chose to consume. After years of developing recipes, Lorelei’s Loaves was born.
In Spring of 2013, Lorelei got inspired to create confections. After a couple of experiments, she discovered the joy and wonder that is fudge and expanded to form Lorelei’s Loaves & Treats.
In 2014, scones and Scottish shortbread were added to the line, then in 2015 soft pretzels, biscuits, baked donuts, focaccia, and fruit empanadas spurred even more delicious creativity!
And who knows where she’ll go next?

Always up for a challenge, Lorelei has created many unique recipes and is open to trying just about anything. Looking for a flavor you can never find? Ask! It just might happen!

With over 30 years' experience in baking, I proudly offer quality loaves in a wide variety of flavors, many of them unique. My baked goods are made in the old fashioned way, hand-crafted from scratch without any preservatives, dough stabilizers, or conditioners. My goal is to delight the palate by using King Arthur flour and other fine baking ingredients, and to leave you fully satisfied with your purchase. I also use local fruits and vegetables in season in my dessert breads and scones, often purchased from the farmers at the markets at which I sell.
My creations are made in small batches, allowing me to give a great deal of attention and care to everything I make. Unlike mass-produced factory-made food, home-baked goods are unique in shape and color, but consistent in quality.
